How does Project Management Costs vary with the size of the whole (software development) project?
Q. If you consider that the project management is a percentage of the total project cost, it appears to me that this percentage varies with the size of the project (not considering the hidden costs). Consider the case of software development project. How would that curve (cost of management versus total cost) appear like?

A. In my experience as a software development project manager for a consulting / developing firm we added 25% - 35% of project management cost ON TOP of the actual development cost. The reasoning for this is that the PM is the link between the customer of the project and the developers. Often they speak two different languages and you need the PM in between in order to "translate". The range of 25% - 35% depended on the customer. If we knew that the customer was "easy" to deal with, then we could usually get away with only adding 25%. But if the customer required more hand holding and was generally "difficult" then we went as high as 35% because the PM would need to invest a lot more time into the project. What are creative project ideas for a project about myself?
Q. I have to do a project about 6 different aspects of my life - two of them have to be in a narrative format, but I've already finished those. We're supposed to do really creative things like photo collages, use music, etc. I'm really not too sure what to do. I have 3 left. Do you have any ideas?

A. Use something like something you are interested in, say art or crafts or beauty or fashion or what ever it may be and use it as an aspect of your life - use pictures on the subject and info clippings like make a big sheet and stick everything on. You could use something on your family like a slide show of photos on dvd with music in the background, use a sheet of card also to explain who the people are and something nice about each of them. If your family has a song that you all like use it and explain the meaning to the song. Thats really all i can think of but i hope that helps and that i have understood what you meant lol...

What visual art project should i do, that clearly identifies the Canadian identity?
Q. Ok, so my final grade 11 visual art project was given to me. I was told that i have complete creative control to do whatever i can and want. I have to clearly identify the canadian identity, but im not sure what i should do. Can anyone give me any suggestions and how that suggestion demonstrates the canadian identity?

A. There are so many cool options. One interesting one might be an examination of (hold yourself) - beer commercials. Canadian beer advertisements are classics for delineating the elusive ideology of the "Canadian Identity". I think this would be fun and interesting for such a project. Or - a more general examination of the advertisements of Canadian industry. Tim Hortons and other corporations of Canada (like those beer companies) yearn to capture the essence of Canada in their marketing campaigns. What's really nice about these sorts of topics are their richness in visuals. I hope this helps!
